Belebte Umgebung

Belebte Umgebung

We designed the invitation, poster and social media formats for Jenny Hasselbach's photo exhibition at the erstererster gallery.

Light and structure make the invisible visible: a white wall with an implied door, long shadows of lanterns and bollards—movement without people, space without access. In a park, traffic signs block the view of a statue. Order meets expressive counter-movement, with veiled scaffolding rising upbetween dark columns on the Berlin landmark. The hidden becomes more present than the visible.

Digital maps show streams of people, defining spaces through frequency rather than substance. The photographs in this series condense such moments: urban structures become actors, the field of tension between presence and absence unfolds. How does our view of places change when vitality can no longer be read from people, but from signs, traces and atmospheres?
