Glitzer
Glitzer? Glitzer!
We designed the exhibition graphics and all communication media for the exhibition at the Museum für Kunst & Gewerbe Hamburg.

Exhibition graphics
Glitter embellishes and at the same time is considered cheap, it enhances and is itself devalued. It shimmers and seems to be constantly in motion, but then stubbornly sticks. In the exhibition Glitter, the MK&G shows works that play with these material properties and connotations, using the tippy and iridescent nature of glitter to enchant and connect, to encourage and lend visibility.
The graphics work with the ambivalence of the material: strongly glittering large room titles support the diversity of the rooms and themes. Glittermania collects events around the theme of glitter, while the Hall of Glitter shows everyday glitter objects and their stories.
The exhibits include a glittering youth room by Hamburg artist Jenny Schäfer, photographs by Quil Lemons, skateboards by Mickalene Thomas, GIFs by Molly Soda, show wigs by Hamburg designers Karl Gadzali and Mohamad Barakat-Götz for Olivia Jones and a stage outfit by Bill Kaulitz.

Nails
For the glitter exhibition, we designed a publication that presents the political strategies of glitter in contemporary nail art. The nails themselves–curated by Regine Eurydike Hader–were also on display.

For Glitter, we have developed a concise design that is reminiscent of a glitter sticker. The lettering adapts to the format. In addition to posters, banners and social media formats, there were also shirts and sticker sheets.
