The House of World Cultures hosts the New Alphabet School under the title “Commonings”. Here, learning and unlearning are interwoven, familiar privileges and positions of power, authorship, productivity and competition are questioned.

At a gathering at the HKW, the participants discuss and realize processes and forms of action of an ephemeral school of the “commons” by means of installations, workshops and performances.

Furniture from previous events at the HKW was used for the design of the exhibition, and the publication we designed for it was printed in the style of a fanzine with a risograph. Organized by Olga Schubert, Gigi Argyropoulou, Alessandra Pomarico, Mahmoud Al-Shaer and Rahul Gudipudi.
